I was doing the ironing last night when all of a sudden a 2 inch long white flame sprang out from the back of it. I guessed that the wire had broken, but it was about 10 seconds of me waving the thing around, with the lights flickering, before the trip switch went. I felt like the world had gone mad!
Looks like we need a new iron.
