I went go-karting with the people from work this morning in a little place near Ffos-y-ffin. Great fun!
It was meant to be the leaving party for our boss who has a week left. However, we couldn't get in contact with him to tell him about it, so he wasn't actually there... Still, we were all game for it so off we went!
It was raining quite hard even before we got there so the track was very wet, which meant that we spun out if we weren't careful on some of the corners. In fact it was so wet that when we turned the steering wheel nothing happened. So we all came off the track, quite a few times each. The session was 20 pounds for 30 minutes, but it felt like a long time really. The cost of the session was well worth it as you get overalls, gloves and a helmet to wear, plus the guy running it was driving all over the track on a quad bike putting us back on the track when we went spinning, so he was working hard. He said we must be sucker for punishment coming out in this weather. I think he was right as I was completely soaked through to the skin!
